About the RoleSunnycare is a rapidly growing company, and we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant who can quickly adapt to our fast-paced environment. In this role, you will support the Finance Manager in overseeing the company’s daily financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and strict compliance with accounting standards. This is a full-time position based at our Sunnybank Hills office.
Key Responsibilities Accounting Records Maintenance Account Reconciliations Perform bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations across all group entities. Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies. Monitor and update cash flow regularly.
Financial Reporting & Compliance Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports. Support the preparation and lodgment of BAS, FBT, and other statutory obligations. Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process by providing relevant financial data.
Month-End & Year-End Close Support Help prepare journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and ledger reconciliations. Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including depreciation calculations. Assist with profit and loss analysis and other internal financial reporting.
Audit Support Accounts Payable & Receivable Support AP/AR functions as required, including invoice processing, expense verification, and payment scheduling. Monitor receivables and liaise with clients/vendors to ensure timely collections and payments.
About YouBilingual in Chinese and English Degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum of 2 years of relevant job experience (preferred) Prior experience in the healthcare industry (preferred) Experience with Xero is highly desirable Currently pursuing or interested in pursuing CA or CPA qualifications Sound knowledge of accounting principles and Australian financial regulations Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Quick learner with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
